Remember why you liked comics in the first place?
Our Comics Empower Project continues!
This time, Hector tells his story:
When I was six, I remember what my mom said about comics after I had read 25 magazines from Batman to Superman and Justice League.
She said “It’s very expensive for your dad and me to get the money to pay for your hobby…”
And I answered: “It’s not just a hobby, Mom. It’s my real passion”.
Years later I wrote a special comic that a friend of mine and a talented illustrator did during math class.
Today comics show me the way imagination leads to freedom. In fact, when I read for example science fiction, I feel the connection from the message to those who invented it.
And I understand the link. So that’s the power…
Thanks a lot
